The proposed rule relating to the Electronic Passport was published on the Federal Register for public comment on February 18, 2005. The comments were received via email and regular mail. After the review and consideration of all the comments, the Department will publish its final rule.
The comment period closed on April 4, 2005. No further comments will be accepted.
